Looking for a FREE EPC
Now that the home information pack has been suspended there will be plenty of choices to get a free epc, these will be offered by estate agents, conveyancers and even removal companies but there will be a catch.
If you decide to go with an estate agent offering a free epc you may want to ask them if you can take it with you if you leave them for another agent, the answer in most cases will be no unless you pay them for it and this fee could well be inflated to cover their costs. You will also find this will apply to conveyancers and removal companies.
We would advise anyone selling a property to go direct to a domestic energy assessor locally as you can then take the epc to any agent.
