Southern Domestic Energy Assessors are an established Company who are professional, reliable, highly qualified and experienced, we are fully accredited and insured. We provide a very friendly service getting the best EPC rating possible for your property. We are based in Southampton and cover the Hampshire area, including Portsmouth and Winchester.





As we are independent Domestic Energy Assessors (DEA's) we are able to keep our prices very competitive as there is no 'middle man' or no sub-contracting fees and we can often provide an appointment the same day. Victoria and Jamie are also qualified Retrofit Assessors in accordance with PAS2035, the specification for the energy retrofit of domestic buildings.



We are a TrustMark Registered Business, the only Government Endorsed Quality scheme for trades in and around the home. We are qualified in all aspects of Energy Efficiency and can offer additional help and advice on ways to improve the efficiency of your home.

Once your survey has been completed, we will explain the recommendations to you and tell you your EPC rating. We will advise the most cost effective improvements you can make to improve your EPC rating, energy efficiency, and save money. We will then send a link to the certificate by email directly to you, your agent or solicitor and it will be lodged on the EPC register.

Your appointment will be arranged at a time that is convenient with you and normally within 48 hours from contacting us and can be sooner if required. The survey takes approximately 20 to 40 minutes to complete for an average sized property.



An EPC is required whenever a property is built, sold or rented. If you are selling or renting your home you will need a valid EPC for potential buyers and tenants before you market your property. If you are renting a property then the landlord or the letting agent must show you the EPC. An EPC is valid for 10 years.
